‘Jinn’ Booked for Possessing Man to Rape His Former Mother-in-Law in Gujrat

GUJRAT – A highly unusual case has emerged in Gujrat, where the local police have registered a sexual assault case against both a teenage boy and a “jinn” after a woman accused them of rape. The case was filed on the direct orders of the District Police Officer (DPO) to ensure a full investigation.

The incident occurred in Bhidar village, located within the jurisdiction of the Kakrali Police Station in Gujrat. According to the complaint, a woman named Sumaira alleged that her former son-in-law, 17-year-old Kabir, assaulted her while being influenced by a supernatural entity.

The First Information Report (FIR) states that Kabir was allegedly under the control of a “jinn” named Adil during the assault. Sumaira claimed that Kabir’s actions were driven entirely by this spirit, which she described as the main perpetrator behind the incident.

The unusual nature of the case has drawn widespread attention, as police have formally named both Kabir and the “jinn” Adil in the FIR. The victim insists that the supernatural force played a direct role in the assault, prompting authorities to include it in the investigation.

Following the complaint, the Gujrat Police initiated immediate action. Sumaira was taken for a medical examination, and officials stated that her medical report is expected within two days.
