The Ministry of Religious Affairs has confirmed that all arrangements for Hajj 2026 are being made according to schedule, despite the ongoing international situation. A spokesperson provided the update on Sunday.
“The visas for intending Hajj pilgrims are being issued rapidly. The schedule for Hajj flights will be announced after Eid ul Fitr,” said the ministry’s spokesman.
The official added that residential and other arrangements for pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah are also being finalized. Authorities are working to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for all pilgrims.
The ministry emphasized timely completion of all arrangements for Hajj 2026. Pilgrims are advised to obtain authentic information through the Pak Hajj App and the official website. This ensures they follow correct procedures and avoid misinformation.
Significant changes have been introduced in the distribution of Hajj quotas this year. Under the Hajj Policy 2026, the government Hajj scheme quota has been increased to 70 percent, while private Hajj tour operators receive 30 percent of the total quota.
In 2025, Pakistan’s total Hajj quota was 179,210, equally split between the government and private sectors. However, due to mismanagement, over 67,000 Pakistani pilgrims could not perform the pilgrimage that year.
The revised policy aims to improve transparency, oversight, and accessibility for pilgrims opting for the government scheme. Officials said these changes are designed to prevent issues faced during the previous Hajj season.
The ministry reiterated its commitment to providing well-organized services, including visa issuance, travel, accommodation, and logistical support, for all pilgrims.
Authorities continue to coordinate with Saudi Arabian officials to ensure that the arrangements meet international standards, offering a safe and spiritual Hajj experience for Pakistani pilgrims.
