The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) has launched a new digital internship program for women. The initiative offers selected participants a monthly stipend of Rs 30,000. The program aims to help women gain skills and experience in the growing technology sector.
According to officials, the program will run during 2025–2026 and will last for six months. Each selected Internee will receive hands-on training and professional exposure in various digital fields. The initiative is designed to support women who want to build careers in technology and digital services.
Under this program, every Internee will work in real professional environments. Participants will be placed in companies located at KP IT Park, the Digital Transformation Unit, and KPITB headquarters. This placement will help them understand how technology companies operate.
The internship focuses on several high-demand skills. These include UI and UX design, Artificial Intelligence, web development, mobile application development, graphic design, and digital marketing. These fields are growing rapidly and offer many career opportunities for young professionals.
KPITB officials say the program will help participants gain practical knowledge instead of only theoretical learning. Each Internee will work on real projects and receive guidance from experienced professionals in the industry.
The initiative also aims to encourage women’s participation in Pakistan’s digital economy. Many women face challenges when entering technology fields. Programs like this are designed to create more opportunities and support their professional growth.
Officials believe the internship will help build technical skills and improve confidence among participants. It will also help women connect with companies and potential employers in the technology sector.
Women interested in joining the program can apply online. Applications must be submitted through the official digital portal at joinit.kp.gov.pk/list/jobs. Candidates are advised to review the eligibility criteria before applying.
The deadline for submitting applications is March 13. After the selection process, successful candidates will begin their six-month training period.
