Imran Khan Admits to Ordering PTI for Peaceful Protest Outside GHQ

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has confessed to calling for a peaceful protest outside GHQ, the military headquarters in Rawalpindi, before his arrest.

In an informal discussion with journalists at Adiala Jail, he revealed that police and rangers attacked his Zaman Park residence on March 14 last year, despite his lawyers’ assurances regarding his cooperation with the investigation and arrest. Khan also mentioned that police attacked him at the Judicial Complex during a court hearing on March 18, with shells fired inside and outside the complex. Realizing he would be arrested, he called for a peaceful protest in front of GHQ before his arrest.

Regarding his interview with a foreign media outlet, he explained that he had conveyed certain points to his lawyers, which led to the publication of his interview in an international magazine.
