Former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan is likely to return to Adiala Jail after completing his medical treatment. PML-N Senator Nasir Butt made the statement while speaking to ARY News.
Butt rejected reports that Imran Khan could be shifted to Bani Gala after his treatment. He also dismissed speculation about a possible political deal involving the PTI founder.
According to Butt, Khanโs stay in hospital will end once doctors complete his treatment. He said the former prime minister would then return to Adiala Jail.
โAfter his treatment, the situation will remain the same,โ Butt said. He added that Khan would not remain in hospital after completing his medical care.
The PML-N senator also denied claims that the PTI founder could secure release through negotiations. He said there was currently no indication of an agreement between the government and Imran Khan.
Butt further rejected claims of a conspiracy linked to Khanโs current situation. He said there was no deal or conspiracy behind the former prime ministerโs circumstances.
The senator also questioned expectations of a major political change involving Imran Khan. He argued that such expectations had not produced any significant political development so far.
Meanwhile, Butt criticised the PTIโs planned September 27 protest. He questioned the partyโs claim that it could bring two million people onto the streets.
He referred to previous PTI protest calls that reportedly failed to attract similar numbers. Butt said the party would struggle to mobilise such a large crowd.
The PTI has maintained that its September 27 mobilisation plan remains unchanged. The party continues to call for supporters to participate in the planned protest.
Butt also criticised Imran Khanโs political strategy and his comments about state institutions. He argued that such criticism had made political reconciliation more difficult.
The senatorโs comments come amid continued political tensions between the government and the PTI. Imran Khan remains at the centre of the ongoing political dispute.
