Indian Army Conducts Full Blackout Drill in Ferozepur Cantonment Amid Rising Tensions at Border

On late Sunday night, the Indian Army carried out a full-scale blackout rehearsal in the Ferozepur cantonment area, simulating wartime conditions. The exercise was conducted under the directives of the Station Commander and the President of the Cantonment Board.

Strict instructions were issued to ensure compliance, with authorities expressing serious concern over individuals who left their vehicle headlights on during the drill. Officials emphasized that this wasn’t about showing courage, but rather about safeguarding national security, and warned against repeating such actions. They also criticized the local police for their lack of seriousness during the operation.

This blackout exercise comes amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, following the Pahalgam attack that resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians. The Modi administration hastily pointed fingers at Pakistan, accusing it of supporting terrorism and vowing to punish those responsible.

In the wake of the incident, Indian forces have stepped up cross-border shelling, seemingly attempting to provoke a response. Pakistan, however, has responded with measured yet strong retaliation.

In a separate development, India has successfully conducted the first flight test of a stratospheric airship platform. This cutting-edge technology is intended to enhance the military’s long-range surveillance and intelligence capabilities, signaling a significant upgrade in India’s defense strategy.

With the situation on edge, Indian forces remain on high alert along the border regions.
