Coordinated raids in Peshawar and Nowshera led to the arrest of four facilitators linked to the attack. Authorities confirmed that the Afghan national mastermind behind the bombing, affiliated with Daesh (ISIS), was also apprehended.

Authorities have identified the suicide bomber as Yasir, a resident of Peshawar. Investigations revealed he conducted surveillance of the mosque a week before the attack and had spent four months in Afghanistan preparing for the assault.
The bomber reportedly fired shots before entering the mosque and detonated an explosive vest inside the prayer hall. Investigators found between four and six kilograms of explosives, along with ball bearings and spent cartridges. Evidence shows the bomber fired two rounds before entry and six rounds inside the mosque.
