Islamabad is preparing to welcome its first-ever seven-star hotel, with plans moving rapidly ahead of the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has finalized arrangements and formally invited international firms to develop the landmark project in the high-security Red Zone. The hotel will be constructed under a public-private partnership or joint venture model, ensuring global investment and top-tier expertise.
According to CDA, the proposed seven-star facility will feature luxurious suites, large banquet halls, seminar rooms, modern conference halls, multi-storey parking, and state-of-the-art security systems, designed to match international hospitality standards.
The project aims to boost Pakistan’s image, enhance Islamabad’s architectural landscape, and cater to high-profile delegations visiting for major international events, particularly the SCO summit.
