Temperatures in Islamabad are expected to remain between 21°C and 34°C. Residents may experience changing weather conditions as clouds develop over the region. People should remain alert during periods of strong winds and thunderstorms.
The Islamabad weather outlook is also linked to a wider weather system affecting several parts of the country. Most plain areas are expected to remain hot and dry. However, partly cloudy weather is likely in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Upper Punjab may also experience partly cloudy conditions during the forecast period. The PMD has predicted rain at several locations across these regions. Strong winds, thunderstorms and dust storms may accompany the rainfall.
Heavy rain and hail are also possible at isolated places, according to the weather department. Such conditions could temporarily affect travel and outdoor activities. Residents are advised to stay updated with official weather alerts.
Meanwhile, Islamabad residents are also facing scheduled electricity suspensions on Friday. The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced temporary power outages in selected areas.
According to IESCO, electricity supply will be suspended on several feeders. The outages are linked to development work being carried out by the district administration. Power supply interruptions are scheduled between 8am and 12pm in affected areas.
The company has apologised to consumers for the inconvenience caused by the temporary suspension. IESCO has also provided a helpline for consumers seeking assistance.
