At least 31 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes on eastern and southern Lebanon on Saturday, according to Lebanon’s health ministry, as Israel’s conflict with Hezbollah intensifies. Strikes in the Baalbek-Hermel region, a Hezbollah stronghold in eastern Lebanon, killed 20 people, including 11 in the Knaissseh locality. Fourteen others were reported injured.
In southern Lebanon, Israeli attacks claimed 11 lives, including six rescuers from Hezbollah and the allied Amal movement. Five of these rescuers were members of the Amal-affiliated Risala Scouts, with one linked to Hezbollah’s Islamic Health Committee. In the southern village of Hanouiyeh, five additional casualties were confirmed.

The Israeli military stated its aircraft targeted “Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure sites” in Tyre and Baalbek, including operational bases and weapons storage facilities. Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that Israeli fighter jets destroyed two houses in Nabatiyeh in the south.
On Friday, Israeli strikes on Tyre killed seven people, including two children, with 46 others injured. Rescuers continue to search for missing people under the rubble.
