Jazz has introduced a new Bereavement Leave Policy to support employees during times of personal loss and grief. The initiative reflects the companyโs ongoing focus on employee well-being and a people-first workplace culture.
The new policy has been launched across JazzWorld. It aims to provide staff members with more care, flexibility, and emotional support during difficult life events. The company said the step is part of its broader efforts to create a workplace based on empathy, dignity, and compassion.
Under the updated policy, permanent employees will receive 10 working days of paid bereavement leave after the loss of a spouse. The leave will be provided in addition to existing leave entitlements. Employees will also continue to receive their salary and benefits during this period.
The policy includes extra support for female employees observing Iddat. Eligible employees can avail work-from-home flexibility for up to 120 calendar days. This measure is designed to help employees manage personal responsibilities while maintaining work balance during a sensitive time.
According to the company, the policy applies to all permanent employees working at JazzWorld. The initiative highlights the organizationโs efforts to strengthen employee care and improve workplace practices focused on inclusion and support.
Speaking about the development, Tazeen Shahid, Chief People Officer at Jazz, said that a truly people-centric workplace is defined not only by celebrating achievements but also by supporting employees during difficult moments. She added that the company wants its employees to feel supported with dignity and compassion during periods of grief and transition.
The latest initiative is also linked to JazzWorldโs vision of โBetter Life for All.โ The company stated that this vision is reflected not only in its services but also in the workplace culture it continues to build for employees.
