JDC Chief Zafar Abbas’s Vigo Hits Two Teens in Karachi, One Critically Injured

A tragic accident in Karachi’s Ancholi area has sparked concern after a Vigo vehicle belonging to Zafar Abbas, the head of the JDC Foundation, struck two teenage motorcyclists. One of the boys is in critical condition, according to hospital reports.

The incident occurred when a speeding 4×4 vehicle hit the bike with force and fled the scene. Eyewitnesses later identified the vehicle as registered to Zafar Abbas. The number plate reportedly fell off during the collision, making it easier for locals to trace ownership.

Soon after the incident, Zafar Abbas arrived at the location with members of his team. Eyewitnesses claim that his companions tried to stop people from filming the aftermath by taking away their mobile phones.

Police from Samanabad station reached the site quickly but found no vehicle or driver. The crash scene had already been cleared.

Later, Zafar Abbas transported the two injured teens to a private hospital and spoke to the media. He said that the bikers had no headlights and collided with the vehicle. He also stated the Vigo was being used by an office staff member to buy ice at the time of the crash.

Despite his statement that the injuries were not serious, doctors confirmed that 18-year-old Abdul Ahad is in critical condition and currently on a ventilator. His cousin, 19-year-old Hanif, also sustained injuries. Both teens are residents of Azizabad’s Mohammadi Colony.

Zafar Abbas arranged further treatment for both at a private hospital. Police officials have confirmed they now possess the vehicle’s registration, driver details, and the identity of the motorbike owners.

The investigation is still underway as authorities work to determine the exact cause of the accident and who is responsible.
