JF-17 Thunder Draws Global Attention At Dubai Airshow 2025

The Pakistan Air Force’s JF-17 Thunder has become a major attraction at the Dubai Airshow 2025, showcasing Pakistan’s growing indigenous aviation capabilities, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Thursday. The PAF contingent, participating in the event, features advanced JF-17 Thunder Block-III jets and Super Mushshak trainer aircraft.

Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, held high-level engagements with air chiefs from friendly countries on the sidelines of the show. He also met with Lieutenant General Pilot Ibrahim Nasser Al-Alawi, Undersecretary of Defence UAE, and Major General Rashid Mohammed Al-Shamsi, Commander UAE Air Force & Air Defence.

The discussions focused on enhancing operational coordination, advanced training, and collaboration in emerging aerospace technologies. UAE military leaders praised Pakistan Air Force’s modernization efforts and growing indigenous capabilities. Both sides expressed commitment to strengthening ties through joint exercises, professional exchanges, and forward-looking partnerships.

During the exhibition, the JF-17 Thunder Block-III emerged as a highlight, attracting attention from defence analysts, aviation experts, and visitors. The aircraft’s cutting-edge technology, versatile combat capabilities, and proven performance in Marka-e-Haq strengthened its reputation as a cost-effective and highly capable multirole fighter.

Several countries attending the airshow expressed interest in procuring the JF-17 Thunder, reflecting increasing confidence in Pakistan’s aviation industry. In a significant development, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with a friendly nation for the purchase of JF-17 jets, marking a milestone in Pakistan’s defence and industrial partnerships.

The Dubai Airshow 2025 has provided Pakistan an important platform to demonstrate its advanced aviation technology. The international attention on the JF-17 Thunder underlines the growing global recognition of Pakistan’s indigenous military capabilities.

The PAF continues to highlight the JF-17’s operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and role in strengthening regional security, further cementing Pakistan’s position in the international defence and aerospace sector.
