The Judicial Commission probing the murder of Mir Raza Ali has decided to inspect key locations linked to the case.

The commission is headed by Sindh High Court Justice Umar Sial. It is examining the circumstances surrounding Mir Raza’s death and the investigation.

The Judicial Commission will personally visit the crime scene and a related guest house. The inspection is scheduled for October 5 at 11:30am.

Justice Sial said the visit would help strengthen the commission’s findings and recommendations. The panel plans to assess the locations connected with the case directly.

Sindh government focal person Javed Abro was directed to make arrangements for the inspection. He was asked to coordinate the visit with relevant officials.

Investigation Officer DSP Siraj Lashari was also ordered to accompany Mir Raza’s family. Their lawyer will also be present during the inspection.

The commission has been examining several aspects of the investigation. It has also recorded statements from witnesses and relevant officials.

Statements Scheduled Before Commission

The Judicial Commission has also scheduled statements from key individuals involved in the case.

CPLC official Kashif Iftikhar and DSP Siraj Lashari are expected to record their statements. Their statements are scheduled for Wednesday at 11:00am.

Commission Registrar Abdul Majid was directed to notify the relevant individuals. The notices include the Sindh government focal person, Mir Raza’s family and their lawyer.

The commission has previously raised concerns about aspects of the police investigation. It has examined issues involving evidence collection and the handling of the crime scene.

The panel has also questioned the progress made regarding suspected vehicles connected to the case. Investigators and other officials have been asked to provide information about the vehicles.

Journalists Asked to Present Vehicle Evidence

The commission has appreciated the work of investigative journalists tracking suspected vehicles. It said the information could assist its examination of the case.

Two journalists have been asked to present their findings before the commission. Their presentation is scheduled for October 6 at 11:00am.

They will explain the movements of suspected vehicles using a map of the area. The presentation will focus on how the vehicles allegedly moved around the relevant locations.

The commission has sought to examine the available information alongside other evidence. The vehicle movements could provide additional context for the investigation.

The Judicial Commission was formed in August to investigate Mir Raza Ali’s death. Justice Umar Sial was appointed to lead the inquiry.

The Sindh government has extended the commission’s term until October 15. The extension allows the panel additional time to complete its proceedings and recommendations.

The latest site inspection and scheduled presentations are part of the commission’s continuing inquiry. Further proceedings are expected as the panel reviews statements and available evidence.
