Around 350 guests are expected to attend the mehndi. A special dinner featuring desi dishes has also been planned.
To add a festive mood, famous dancer Wahab Shah has been invited to perform. His performance is expected to be a highlight of the evening. Organisers say the event will remain strictly managed. Security measures have also been put in place.
The baraat ceremony of Junaid Safdar is scheduled for January 17. The wedding procession will depart for Lake City, Lahore, at 1:00 pm. About 400 guests have been invited to attend the baraat. These include family members and close associates.
