LAHORE – The marriage plans of Junaid Safdar, the son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, have become a major topic within political circles. The potential bride belongs to one of Lahore’s well-known political families. Her relationship with Sheikh Rohail Asghar gives the union added significance, especially within the Pakistan Muslim League (N). Party members see this development as a strong bond between two influential families.

Sources say the two sides have agreed to hold the wedding ceremonies either in the last week of December or the first week of January.
