KARACHI – Syed Muhammad Taha has officially assumed charge as Chief Executive Officer of K-Electric from April 15, 2026. His appointment comes at a critical time for Pakistan’s power sector.

Before rejoining K-Electric, he also worked as Chief Distribution Officer at the utility. In that role, he managed large-scale revenue operations worth billions of dollars. His earlier experience with the company adds to his leadership profile.
He has also worked internationally, including in Nigeria’s power sector. There, he contributed to infrastructure improvements and operational reforms. His global experience is expected to benefit K-Electric.
His early career includes senior positions at major energy companies such as Shell and Chevron. He also worked at Pakistan Steel Mills in leadership roles. His background reflects strong expertise in energy and industrial management.
