A comprehensive security plan has been rolled out to ensure the safe conduct of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 matches at the National Bank Cricket Stadium in Karachi, where the tournament officially kicked off yesterday.
According to officials, over 6,700 police personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order during the matches. This includes 1,666 members from the Security Division, featuring 950 SSU commandos and policewomen commandos, as well as 1,390 officers from the Traffic Police, and 328 personnel from the Special Branch and District Police. Additional support from other law enforcement agencies will also secure key locations such as the airport, team hotels, and travel routes.

Sensitive spots across the city will be guarded by expert marksmen, and a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team will remain on high alert at the SSU headquarters, patrolling the stadium and nearby areas. A special SSU command and control bus will oversee real-time monitoring of the venue’s security environment.
Authorities have enforced a strict ban on CNG cylinders and drones within stadium premises to prevent any safety threats. The public is urged to follow security guidelines and cooperate with officers to ensure a smooth and secure PSL experience.
