According to police officials, both suspects were living in Karachiโs Lines Area. A relative had arranged their rented accommodation in the city. The investigation revealed that they were involved in a planned robbery.
Authorities said a large amount of stolen items has been recovered. This includes gold, silver, and the safe locker taken from the store. The recovery is seen as a major breakthrough in the case of Karachi jewellery theft.
The robbery took place on April 30 at a Karachi jewellery shop located on Zaib-un-Nisa Street in Saddar. Police said the suspects cut the shutter and entered the shop during early morning hours.

During the incident, the watchman tried to stop them. However, he was threatened at gunpoint, according to SSP South Mazhar Ali. He also stated that the suspects attempted to silence the watchman by offering Rs50,000.
Police further added that CCTV footage and audio evidence support this claim. The case has raised concerns about security at Karachi jewellery markets, especially during late-night hours.
A special investigation team has been formed under DIG South Asad Raza. The team is working to trace the remaining absconding suspect involved in the robbery.
Officials said efforts are ongoing to recover the remaining stolen items. They also confirmed that more arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
