Karachi Weather Sizzles Today As Heatwave Grips Region

The weather in Karachi sizzles today as intense heat grips the port city. Temperatures are expected to rise above 42°C. Hot and dry winds are affecting daily life across the region.

The city sizzles today due to the suspension of sea breeze. Strong northwesterly winds are adding to the extreme heat conditions. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has warned of continued hot and dry weather in most parts of the country.

Southern regions are facing the harshest impact. Sindh and southern Balochistan are experiencing very hot conditions. Many districts are reporting rising temperatures and uncomfortable humidity levels.

Karachi recorded a maximum temperature of 40.9°C on Sunday. Humidity stood at 52%, making it feel even hotter. The heat index pushed the “feels like” temperature close to 45°C. This shows why Karachi sizzles today under extreme weather pressure.

Different areas of the city reported even higher readings. Gulistan-e-Johar reached 42°C. Jinnah Terminal recorded 41.4°C. Mauripur and Sharae Faisal also faced high temperatures above 39°C.

Weather experts said a heatwave develops when sea breeze stops for several days. Temperatures above 40°C and high humidity also contribute to heatwave conditions. These factors explain why Karachi continues to sizzles today with intense heat.

Forecasts suggest temperatures may remain high during the day. Hot winds are expected to push mercury up to 41°C. However, some relief is possible by evening as sea breezes may return.

From Tuesday, temperatures are expected to slightly improve. They may drop to between 36°C and 38°C. Still, conditions will remain warm across the region.

Interior Sindh is also facing severe heat. Jacobabad recorded a high of 46°C, making it one of the hottest districts. Other areas like Dadu, Nawabshah, and Sanghar are also under heatwave alerts.

Authorities have issued warnings and safety instructions. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah directed heatwave relief camps across affected districts. Hospitals have also been instructed to prepare for heatstroke patients.

Officials are urging citizens to avoid unnecessary outdoor activity. Staying hydrated and taking precautions is strongly advised. As the region continues to heat up, Karachi sizzles today under one of the season’s strongest heatwaves.
