Karachi Traffic Disrupted as Protesters Rally Against Possible US-Israel Strikes on Iran

Karachi witnessed major Traffic disruptions on Friday after a protest rally blocked several important roads in the city center. The demonstration was held against possible American and Israeli military strikes on Iran.

The protest began near Kharadar Police Station and quickly moved toward MA Jinnah Road. As the rally progressed, authorities closed sections of the road leading toward Tower. This action caused significant Traffic congestion in surrounding areas.

Participants gathered earlier at Khwaja Asna Ashri Mosque before starting the march. Protesters carried placards criticizing Israel and chanted slogans during the rally. The demonstration was scheduled to continue toward Nishtar Park.

Due to the rally, traffic police implemented several diversions to manage the situation. Vehicles approaching from Kharadar were redirected toward Yaqoobiya Mosque. Officials said the diversion was necessary to prevent heavy Traffic jams in nearby streets.

Authorities also closed both tracks of MT Khan Road because of security concerns related to the protest. In addition, the roads leading to and from Mai Kolachi Road were temporarily blocked. These closures further affected the normal Traffic flow across several districts.

Police also shut access routes between PIDC House and Sultanabad. Vehicles traveling from PIDC were diverted toward Khajoor Chowk. Meanwhile, motorists arriving from Mai Kolachi were instructed to use U-turn points to avoid gridlock.

Traffic coming from Jinnah Bridge was redirected to I. I. Chundrigar Road. Officials said these measures were taken to keep traffic moving while the rally continued.

Traffic police advised residents and commuters to use alternative routes. They also warned drivers to expect delays in central Karachi until the protest ends.
