Five individuals tragically lost their lives in a fire at a residence for shrine devotees in the Rustam area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to rescue officials. The blaze erupted near Bagh-e-Jibran in a hilltop building, with the cause still under investigation.
Firefighters and rescue teams managed to control the fire and recover the bodies, which were later transported to a local hospital. The origin of the fire remains undetermined, and an investigation is ongoing.

In a related incident, SSP Korangi Tohidur Rahman has taken decisive action following a fire caused by an illegal fuel station in a residential building in Shah Faisal Colony No3.
The SSP suspended SHO Shah Faisal Colony, Inspector Gul Hasan Kalhoro, for negligence leading to the fire, which resulted in significant property damage and loss of life. Kalhoro has been transferred to the police headquarters East district.
An inquiry has been ordered against Kalhoro, with Yaseen Gujjar, director of the SSP Complaint Cell, appointed as the inquiry officer. Gujjar has been tasked with submitting the report within three days.
This follows a severe fire at an unlicensed filling station in Shah Faisal Colony No3, where a citizen was killed, and several flats, shops, and motorcycles were destroyed.
