LAHORE – Police have arrested a security supervisor of a private shopping mall over serious allegations in Lahore. The case involves accusations of rapes female employee under false promises of marriage.
Authorities said the suspect worked at a mall on Model Town Link Road. The victim also worked there as a security guard. She later reported that she was deceived with a promise of marriage.
Police stated that the suspect is accused of rapes female colleague after gaining her trust. When she later demanded marriage, he allegedly turned violent and refused to fulfill his promise.
The suspect was identified as Zain. He was arrested by Faisal Town Police with the help of human intelligence. He was traced and detained from the Mochi Pura area.
Faisal Town Police confirmed the arrest and said a formal investigation has been launched. Officials added that the case has been forwarded to the Gender Crime Cell for further legal action.
Police also revealed that the victim alleged harassment and financial pressure. She claimed that the accused withheld her salary after the dispute. The case has added further seriousness to the rapes female accusation.
Senior police officer Jahandad Akram confirmed that an FIR has been registered. He stated that strict action will be taken based on evidence. He also said that exploitation of women will not be tolerated.
He further emphasized that cases involving rapes female allegations are being treated with priority. Law enforcement agencies are ensuring proper investigation and legal support for victims.
The accused remains in custody while investigators collect evidence and record statements. Officials said the investigation is ongoing and more details will be shared later.
