Lahore Traffic Police Upgrade: New Uniforms and Electric Patrolling Vehicles

Lahore Traffic Police Upgrade New Uniforms and Electric Patrolling Vehicles

LAHORE โ€“ The Lahore Traffic Police have received a major upgrade, including a new uniform and modern patrolling system, approved by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. The initiative also introduces electric vehicles for city traffic monitoring.

The newly approved uniform features a navy blue theme. It includes navy blue pants, a white shirt, a white belt, and a blue tie. Officers will also wear a blue jersey, navy blue overcoat, and a navy blue cap. Previously, the Lahore Traffic Police wore light blue uniforms. Officials say the new attire is designed for both professional appearance and comfort.

In a key modernization step, electric vehicles have been added to traffic patrolling. The first electric patrol vehicle was handed over to the Lahore Traffic Police by CM Maryam Nawaz herself. These vehicles aim to improve traffic monitoring while promoting environmentally friendly practices.

Sources reveal that around 50 electric vehicles will be provided to the Lahore Traffic Police for city-wide patrolling. Each vehicle is equipped with advanced cameras, communication systems, and security features. These upgrades are expected to improve law enforcement efficiency and real-time traffic management.

Officials believe the combination of modern uniforms and electric patrolling vehicles will enhance both the operational efficiency and public image of the Lahore Traffic Police. The initiative also represents a significant step toward sustainable and smart traffic management in Lahore.

The move comes as part of a broader effort by Punjab authorities to modernize city services, reduce carbon emissions, and increase the safety and efficiency of urban traffic control. Citizens are expected to notice improved traffic management and quicker response times with the new system in place.
