The latest Lahore Weather Update shows the city waking up to a bone-chilling cold morning. Humidity remains high at 87%, while temperatures have dropped to 7 °C. Residents are advised to stay warm and wear layers as the city braces for a cold weekend.
According to the Lahore Weather Update, sunshine will appear intermittently, keeping the day relatively pleasant despite the icy conditions. Saturday and Sunday are expected to see temperatures ranging between 6 °C and 8 °C, with partly cloudy skies. On Monday, the mercury may dip slightly further, with a minimum of 5 °C to 7 °C.
A cold and dry spell currently blankets most of Punjab. Nearby hill stations such as Murree and Galiyat will experience partly cloudy skies. However, temperatures in these areas remain low, and residents should prepare for a biting chill. Light rain or snow is possible in Murree and Galiyat over the weekend. Morning fog will also affect Narowal, Sheikhupura, and Okara, reducing visibility on roads and highways.
Northern and western Pakistan are also under the influence of a westerly wave, bringing colder conditions. Hilly areas in Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and northern Balochistan may see isolated snow and rain showers. Minimum temperatures in Gilgit-Baltistan could reach -7 °C in Gupis, while Skardu and Astore may experience lows around -4 °C to -6 °C. In Balochistan, Kalat and Ziarat face sub-zero temperatures of -2 °C and -3 °C, respectively.
Citizens are advised to take necessary precautions, avoid prolonged exposure to cold, and drive carefully in foggy conditions. The Lahore Weather Update highlights that while sunshine may provide some relief, the overall chill will persist, especially during early mornings and late nights.
As the city adjusts to these icy temperatures, keeping warm and following weather advisories is crucial to ensure safety and health during this cold spell.
