Lesco is responsible only for issuing the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for net meters, and consumers can buy meters from any approved company.

Lesco charges only for installation, name changes, and load extensions: Rs1,220 per kilowatt for residential and Rs1,810 per kilowatt for commercial consumers.

Applications for NOCs up to 15 kilowatts should be submitted to the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), those up to 70 kilowatts to the Executive Engineer (XEN), and those from 70 kilowatts to 500 kilowatts to the Superintending Engineer (SE).
