The revised date replaces the previously announced holiday on Tuesday, August 25. The change was made through an updated official notification.
According to the revised order, judicial proceedings in subordinate courts across Punjab will remain suspended on August 26.
The 24NewsHD TV channel reported the development on Friday. The notification was issued by the Deputy Registrar on the directions of the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court.

The Lahore High Court notifies the revised schedule to ensure subordinate courts follow the updated holiday arrangement. Court staff and litigants will therefore need to take note of the new date.
Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) is observed across Pakistan with religious devotion. The occasion marks the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Religious gatherings, processions and other activities are held in different parts of the country. Government institutions may also announce closures depending on official holiday schedules.
The latest court notification specifically concerns subordinate courts operating under the Lahore High Court’s jurisdiction in Punjab. It does not change the religious significance of the occasion.
The revised order is expected to help courts and legal practitioners adjust their schedules. Lawyers and litigants can plan their court-related activities according to the updated date.
The Lahore High Court notifies changes to court schedules through official orders when required. The latest revision ensures that the holiday is observed on August 26.
Last year, the federal government also declared a public holiday for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). The holiday was observed nationwide on September 6.
The Cabinet Division had announced that government offices would remain closed on that occasion. Private offices and educational institutions were also included in the holiday arrangement.
Holiday dates can change based on official government decisions and administrative requirements. The latest notification provides the revised schedule for Punjab’s subordinate courts.
Court users are advised to check the updated order before visiting subordinate courts on the affected date. The revised notification makes August 26 the applicable holiday for the courts.
