In Zaheerabad Colony, a man was allegedly attacked by his in-laws after objecting to his wife making TikTok videos. The incident has sparked outrage on social media.
Footage of the assault has gone viral, showing Kamran being dragged into the street and beaten with punches, kicks, and sticks. He stated that his only fault was asking his wife to stop making TikTok videos. After this, she reportedly called her family to confront him.
Kamran alleged that his father-in-law, Anwar, along with others, forcibly entered his home, subjected him to severe torture, and threatened to kill him. Following the attack, Kamran underwent a medical examination and filed a formal complaint at the City Police Station.
Police have launched an investigation, reviewing the video evidence and Kamranโs statement. Authorities are working to identify all individuals involved and ensure legal action is taken.
This incident is not the first of its kind. Earlier, Kashmore police arrested TikToker Uroosa Solangi, who was accused of luring young men into honey traps and facilitating their abduction by criminal gangs in the riverine โkatchaโ areas. Police said gangs initially used fake female voices to trick victims before bringing them to isolated locations for kidnapping.
Experts warn that making TikTok videos, while popular, can sometimes lead to dangerous situations, especially when family disputes or criminal exploitation are involved. Social media users are advised to exercise caution and respect privacy boundaries.
Authorities are calling on citizens to report any threats or assaults linked to social media conflicts. This case highlights the potential risks associated with making TikTok videos without consent from family members or close ones.
Police continue their investigation, emphasizing that those responsible for such violent acts will face strict legal consequences. The viral footage has also prompted discussions about online behavior and personal boundaries.
