GUJRANWALA: A tragic family dispute turned deadly in Gujranwala after a Man Kills his father-in-law during an argument over Rs3,500, police said on Saturday.
The incident took place in Mohallah Rehmanabad. According to police officials, the victim, identified as Afzal, was passing through a street when he was confronted by his son-in-law. The suspect allegedly demanded money from Afzal, leading to a heated exchange between the two men.
Police said the argument quickly escalated. During the confrontation, the suspect opened fire. Afzal suffered fatal gunshot wounds and died at the scene. The shocking case, in which a Man Kills his father-in-law over a small financial dispute, has left local residents stunned.
A young girl standing nearby was also injured during the shooting. She was caught in the violence and received medical treatment for her injuries. Police added that the suspect’s brother-in-law managed to escape unharmed during the attack.
Law enforcement officials reached the scene shortly after receiving reports of the shooting. Evidence was collected, and the victim’s body was moved to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for legal and medical procedures.

In a separate incident in Gujranwala, another violent dispute claimed the life of a young man. According to police, the incident occurred at a gaming shop where two individuals became involved in a heated argument.
Witnesses said the verbal exchange soon turned violent. The victim was rushed to a hospital following the altercation. However, doctors later confirmed his death.
Police have opened an investigation into the gaming shop incident as well. Officials are gathering evidence and questioning witnesses to establish the exact sequence of events.
The two separate cases highlight growing concerns about violent confrontations over personal disputes. Authorities have urged citizens to resolve disagreements peacefully and avoid taking the law into their own hands.
