Man Suicide By Leaping Off Metro Bus Bridge In Rawalpindi

A 34-year-old man named Waheed, identified as mentally challenged, committed suicide by jumping off a metro bus bridge near Committee Chowk in Rawalpindi.

The incident occurred on the elevated track of the metro bus service, raising concerns about security, as officials were unaware of how Waheed accessed the area.

The man, a resident of Sargodha, fell onto Murree Road and died instantly. According to the Waris Khan police station SHO, Waheed’s relatives confirmed his mental health issues.

The metro bus administration reported that security staff attempted to intervene but were unable to prevent him from leaping.
