In light of rising tensions between Pakistan and India, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has taken a decisive measure by approving an internal security fund of Rs 2 billion to enhance public safety and preparedness across the province.
The Punjab Home Department stated that this special fund has been allocated to deputy commissioners in every district, ensuring readiness at the local level.

The money will be utilized for critical resources such as fuel, food supplies, and medical essentials to effectively handle any emergency.
Authorities have stressed that the funding is solely for the protection and welfare of citizens, supporting law enforcement, rescue teams, and civil defense in staying fully alert.
Officials have also advised people to remain at home unless necessary, avoid unnecessary movement, and trust only official updates to prevent panic during this sensitive situation.
