LAHORE – Punjab has launched 33 mobile police stations across the province. The initiative aims to make police services more accessible to citizens. The mobile units will provide 14 different public services. These services include FIR registration, tenant registration and employee verification.

Citizens can also use the units for criminal record checks. Lost-document reporting and driving licence services will also be available. The mobile police stations are designed to bring services closer to local communities. Citizens will not always need to travel to a traditional police station.

Six Pink Mobile Police Stations

Six of the 33 mobile units will operate as Pink Mobile Police Stations. These units will focus on sensitive cases involving women and children. The Pink Mobile Police Stations will visit universities and women’s colleges. They will also operate in underserved areas across the province.

Their routes will follow scheduled deployment plans. Police will also consider local crime data when deciding where units should operate. Emergency helpline 15 calls will also help guide the deployment of these mobile units. This approach is intended to direct services toward areas requiring greater attention.

The initiative is expected to provide additional access to police services. It can particularly benefit people living far from established police facilities.

Online Tracking for FIR Complaints

Citizens will also receive online e-tags after registering FIR complaints. These tags will allow people to track their complaints digitally. The tracking system is intended to reduce unnecessary visits to police offices. It can also help citizens follow the progress of their complaints.

The mobile police stations will combine physical services with digital tracking. This could make the process more convenient for residents. The Punjab government has introduced the initiative as part of efforts to improve public access. The mobile units will operate across different parts of the province.

The 33 mobile police stations will provide several services through a single platform. These include administrative, verification and complaint-related facilities. The availability of driving licence services may also reduce travel for citizens. Lost-document reporting will similarly provide a more accessible reporting option.

Employee and tenant verification services are among the other facilities offered. Criminal record checks will also be available through the mobile units. The deployment of Pink Mobile Police Stations adds a specialized element to the programme. Their focus will remain on women and children facing sensitive issues.

Police will use scheduled routes alongside crime data and emergency calls. This will help determine where the mobile units are needed. The new system is intended to reduce travel time for citizens. It also seeks to improve access to essential police services.
