Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz attended the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, on Saturday. She received a warm welcome and a detailed briefing on the exhibition’s goals, projects, and global initiatives.
Maryam Nawaz praised the Expo’s theme, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” calling it an important platform for improving public services and advancing humanity.
She highlighted the innovative ideas on display, particularly in technology, eco-friendly solutions, and modern public facilities.
At the Pakistan Pavilion, Maryam Nawaz met Pakistani expatriates and international visitors. She appreciated the pavilion’s arrangements and emphasized the significance of presenting Pakistan’s cultural and technological achievements globally.
During her visit, the Chief Minister announced plans to introduce the “Future City” model in Punjab. This initiative aims to make urban life more sustainable, environmentally friendly, and technology-driven.
Maryam Nawaz also visited the stall of Japanese company KUBOTA, known for its sustainable food and agriculture solutions. She explored Expo 2025’s landmark, the “Grand Ring,” the world’s largest wooden structure.
Visitors, including the Chief Minister, were impressed by the stunning “Rainbow in the Dark Night” Water and Light Show.
The global exhibition features more than 150 Japanese and international companies. Maryam Nawaz’s visit highlighted Pakistan’s active participation and interest in international innovation and sustainable development.
This visit strengthens ties between Pakistan and Japan while showcasing Punjab’s commitment to technology, culture, and modern urban planning.
