KARACHI – The Sindh government has postponed its decision to form a judicial commission. The commission was proposed to investigate the death of Mir Raza.
Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar confirmed the development. He said the decision was deferred after a request from Raza’s parents.
The provincial government had earlier planned a judicial inquiry. The move was aimed at ensuring transparency in the investigation.
Officials also wanted to provide reassurance to the family. However, the family has now expressed confidence in the newly formed investigation team.
According to the Home Minister, the investigation team will continue examining the case. It will proceed with its work under the existing legal process.

These meetings included the mayor, the Sindh home minister and the additional inspector general. The family also formally communicated its position in writing.
According to the lawyer, the parents wanted the police investigation team to continue its work. They asked authorities to allow the team to proceed according to the law.
The family’s position has influenced the government’s latest decision. Authorities will now rely on the newly formed investigation team.
