The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the safe return of over 300 Pakistanis from Syria, many of whom had traveled for religious purposes. During a weekly media briefing, Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch expressed the government’s gratitude to Lebanese authorities for facilitating the issuance of visas, which enabled the safe return of its citizens. Pakistan’s embassy in Syria has been actively assisting nationals in the region throughout the process.
In her briefing, Baloch also addressed broader global concerns, calling on the international community to take action against Israel’s alleged war crimes. She reiterated Pakistan’s support for Syria’s sovereignty and condemned Israel’s continued occupation of the Golan Heights. Pakistan emphasized that external intervention would not provide a solution to Syria’s ongoing conflicts.

Pakistan also reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Kashmiris, calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza amidst rising tensions in the region.
Additionally, the spokesperson conveyed condolences on behalf of Pakistan’s Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister following the death of Khalil ur Rahman Haqqani.
In other diplomatic developments, the seventh meeting between Pakistan and Tajikistan in Islamabad centered on enhancing trade and investment ties. Meanwhile, Pakistan and France held discussions on UN security issues, agreeing to collaborate in addressing global challenges.
