Motorway Police Announce Helpline Disruption, Issue Alternative Contact Numbers

ISLAMABAD: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has reported a temporary disruption in its emergency helpline service. The issue has affected the 130 helpline used by travellers across Pakistan.

Authorities confirmed that the disruption is due to a technical fault. As a result, some callers are unable to access standard emergency support services.

The Motorway police have issued alternative contact numbers for different motorway sectors. These numbers are being used to ensure continued assistance for motorists.

Officials said travellers can contact the nearest unit in case of emergencies. This includes road accidents, breakdowns, and other urgent travel-related situations.

The Motorway police advised citizens to use the backup numbers until the issue is fully resolved. They said all essential support services are still operational through alternative channels.

In an official statement, NHMP expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to the public. The department said efforts are underway to restore full helpline functionality as soon as possible.

Technical teams are actively working to fix the system fault. Authorities have assured that service restoration is a top priority.

The Motorway police also encouraged travellers to stay connected through official communication channels. They mentioned that updates and complaints can be shared via the official social media handle @NHMPofficial.

Officials further advised motorists to remain cautious while travelling during this period. They said emergency response will continue through backup arrangements without major delays.
