A university spokesperson confirmed the closure, expressing profound sorrow over Minahail’s passing and stating that the decision was made in her honor. The bus driver involved in the incident, identified as Amir, has been suspended while investigations are ongoing.

Protests have intensified, with students demanding accountability and improved safety measures from the administration. Minahail, a 21-year-old fifth-semester student in the Biochemistry Department, died when her motorcycle collided with the oncoming bus.

According to Rescue 1122 sources, she was the daughter of Shaban from Doulat Gate. Her body was taken to Nishtar Hospital, and the Shah Shams Police Station House Officer, Rao Mehtab, noted that they arrived at the scene after the accident, which resulted in her being run over by the bus.

The police officer mentioned that Minahail’s father had expressed a desire not to file a complaint, which would prompt an investigation if a formal application were submitted. MNSUA spokesperson Riaz Hiraj stated that the unfortunate incident happened at 8:30 AM, claiming that Minahail was driving recklessly and lost control upon seeing the bus. He added that they had CCTV footage of the accident, which showed her father admitting the bus driver was not at fault. Hiraj also revealed that Minahail had been in a previous accident on the same motorcycle over a month ago, sustaining severe injuries.

The atmosphere at the university remained somber throughout the day following the accident.
