Multiple TTP Commanders Killed In Bannu Operations

Joint operations by police, CTD, and security forces in Bannu have successfully targeted militants following a deadly attack on the Howaid Peace Committee office. The Friday attack left seven people dead and one injured, prompting immediate counter-terrorism actions.

Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed, confirmed that operations were conducted in Sheri Khail and Pakka Pahar Khail after reports of terrorist presence in the area. Ten terrorists were killed, several others injured, and one facilitator arrested. Seven bodies were recovered, while three could not be retrieved due to the mountainous terrain.

Among the dead were two wanted TTP commanders, Niaz Ali alias Ukasha and Abdullah alias Shapunkoi. Both were on the most-wanted lists of police and security forces. Their deaths mark a significant success in ongoing counter-terrorism efforts in the region.

In a separate operation in Nasar Khail, authorities killed another wanted terrorist, confirming the continued crackdown on militant hideouts. Meanwhile, an eight-hour operation in Domail Tehsil targeted multiple hideouts, resulting in six militants killed and dozens injured. Reports indicate that TTP commander Rasul Ghani alias Aryana Painda Khel was also killed during the Domail operation.

IGP Zulfiqar Hameed praised the efforts of joint forces, emphasizing that operations would continue until the last remaining terrorist is neutralized. He assured that security forces would persist in pursuing militants even in remote and difficult terrains.

Authorities reiterated that the intensified operations were in response to the terrorist attack on the Howaid Peace Committee office, which triggered widespread security measures across Bannu. These coordinated efforts underline the commitment of law enforcement agencies to eliminate terrorist threats and maintain peace in the region.

The elimination of high-profile TTP commanders is seen as a major achievement in ongoing counter-terrorism campaigns, sending a strong message to militants operating in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and surrounding areas.
