The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced that all NADRA offices will resume operations at 8:00am on Saturday, December 27. Citizens are advised to visit the offices during official hours for their registration and document services.
During the recent closure, NADRA services remained accessible through the Pak-ID mobile application, and helpline numbers continued to function normally. This ensured that essential services were not disrupted for the public.
In addition to regular office hours, the NADRA center at Karachiโs Shahrah-e-Quaideen has introduced extended timings. From December 22, the center will operate an evening shift from 3:00pm to 10:00pm. This initiative aims to facilitate citizens who may not be able to visit during standard working hours. Officials stated that the extended hours will help improve registration efficiency and reduce long queues.
NADRA offices have consistently worked to make citizen services easier. The authority provides a range of services, including issuing national identity cards, verifying documents, and supporting e-governance initiatives. Citizens visiting NADRA offices can now access services more conveniently thanks to the extended and flexible schedule.
Established in 1998 as the National Database Organization (NDO), the authority merged with the Directorate General of Registration (DGR) in March 2000 to form NADRA. Today, it operates as an independent corporate body with autonomy to facilitate governance and public services efficiently.
NADRA has received international recognition for its efforts in secure identification, e-governance solutions, and document verification. The authority continues to prioritize public convenience and safety, ensuring reliable services across all NADRA offices nationwide.
Citizens are encouraged to use the Pak-ID app for basic services or visit NADRA offices directly for complex processes, taking advantage of the new extended hours at key centers like Shahrah-e-Quaideen.
