Faiz Hameed’s Brother Najaf Faces Charges in Major Land Forgery Case

Faiz Hameed’s Brother Najaf Faces Charges in Major Land Forgery Case

LAHORE – Najaf Hameed, brother of former ISI chief Faiz Hameed, has been booked in a high-profile Forgery Case. The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Islamabad.

Najaf Hameed previously served as a Patwari in Islamabad. He allegedly transferred one kanal of valuable government and private land using fake documents. Revenue officers Abdul Zahoor and Khalid Munir are also named in the case.

FIA officials uncovered the scheme during a review of Islamabad Patwari Circle land records. The investigation revealed sophisticated manipulation of registries and fraudulent land transfers. Documents recorded only a 10-marla transfer, while the actual land transferred was one kanal.

The Forgery Case reportedly dates back to 2009 and 2010. Investigators say the manipulation affected official land records for years. Authorities are examining the extent of the crime and possible involvement of other officials.

Relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code regarding forgery and abuse of authority have been invoked. The FIA has initiated a full-scale investigation to ensure all responsible parties are held accountable.

The scandal has raised concerns about high-level collusion within Islamabad’s land administration. Experts say it highlights vulnerabilities in record-keeping and the potential misuse of public office.

This Forgery Case has also drawn attention from media and government officials. It is seen as a significant development due to Najaf Hameed’s relation to Faiz Hameed, a former three-star general and head of Pakistan’s spy agency.

Authorities have promised transparency and thorough investigation. The public and legal observers are watching closely for updates on charges and possible court proceedings.

The case serves as a reminder of the need for stricter oversight in land administration. FIA officials say they are reviewing additional records to identify any other irregularities or accomplices.
