The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested a father accused of recording explicit videos of his minor children and selling them online. According to Geo News, the case involves children aged between four and six years.
NCCIA Islamabad Additional Director Shoaib Khan shared details during a press conference in Islamabad. He described the case as the first of its kind reported in Pakistan’s history.
According to Khan, the suspect allegedly exploited his own children for financial gain. Investigators discovered that the material was circulated through secret online groups.
Explicit Videos Sold Through Secret Telegram Groups
Khan said the videos were traded through private Telegram groups. Payments for the material were reportedly made using cryptocurrency.
Investigators also uncovered a network involved in distributing and selling such content. According to officials, the investigation revealed videos depicting animal abuse as well.
Khan said authorities were working to identify everyone connected to the network. He added that the identities of individuals involved in these cases were not being disclosed publicly.
Main Suspect Arrested With International Assistance
According to the NCCIA, the alleged ringleader belongs to Skardu. Authorities arrested him with assistance from international agencies.
Investigators recovered important evidence and identified links in Islamabad, Multan, and South Punjab. Further raids are underway to locate and arrest other suspected facilitators.
Khan assured the public that those involved would face legal action. Authorities are continuing their investigation to identify additional suspects and establish the full extent of the network.
NCCIA Reports Additional Child Exploitation Cases
During the press conference, Khan also discussed a separate case involving four arrests. The suspects were allegedly involved in a child exploitation network.
The investigation began after officials recovered around 60 videos from a child’s mobile phone. According to Khan, the suspects contacted children aged six to 14 through Instagram.
They allegedly offered children money to gain their trust and produce indecent videos. The material was then reportedly sold through WhatsApp groups and to buyers abroad.
In another case, a minor girl from Karachi reportedly attempted suicide after facing harassment and blackmail for two to three years. She is currently receiving hospital treatment.
Khan said the NCCIA traced the main suspect to Islamabad and arrested him within 13 hours. The case highlights the risks children face from online harassment and exploitation.
Agency Plans Stronger Measures Against Online Crimes
The NCCIA recently announced plans to use artificial intelligence to track online crimes against children. Earlier this week, its Karachi team also rescued a 13-year-old girl allegedly trapped in a dark web network.
These developments highlight the agency’s efforts to investigate online exploitation and protect vulnerable children. Officials continue to investigate reported cases and pursue suspected offenders.
How to Report Cybercrime in Pakistan
Khan urged citizens to report cybercrime instead of remaining silent. People can contact the NCCIA through its 24-hour helpline, 1799.
He also advised citizens to protect their personal information online. People should never share one-time passwords, bank account details, or other sensitive information with strangers.

Parents are also encouraged to monitor children’s online activities and discuss internet safety with them. Reporting suspicious behaviour promptly can help authorities investigate potential offences and protect children from further harm.
