Authorities in Karachi have confirmed that the victim of a late-night street racing accident has had his nephew identified by family members. The incident occurred near Saba Signal in the DHA area at around 2:00 AM.
Police reports reveal that two cars were engaged in an illegal street race when one vehicle lost control. The car somersaulted multiple times before striking 32-year-old Farhan, who was riding his motorcycle. He sustained severe head injuries and multiple fractures. Farhan was rushed to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
Following the accident, the vehicle driver initially fled the scene. Police officers pursued him, and the suspect was later found admitted to a hospital. The victim’s motorcycle and the car involved in the incident have been moved to Sahil Police Station for further investigation.
The driver’s vehicle is reportedly registered in the name of Asghar Ali and carries Sindh government stickers. Authorities maintained confidentiality regarding the suspect’s custody for several hours.
Family members of the victim have requested that no legal case be filed against the driver. During this time, the nephew identified by relatives has been assisting the police with personal and family details to support the investigation.
