Pakistan has reported major progress in its counterterrorism campaign under Ghazb Lil Haq, an operation aimed at dismantling militant networks operating near the border region. Officials say the operation has inflicted significant losses on groups linked to cross-border attacks against Pakistan.
According to the latest update released at 1600 hours on March 13, 2026, the operation has resulted in heavy casualties among militant groups. Authorities said around 663 militants were killed and more than 887 others were injured during the strikes carried out under Ghazb Lil Haq.
Security officials stated that the operation targeted elements identified as Fitna Al Khawarij and affiliates of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). These groups have been blamed for several attacks in Pakistan over the past years.
The military operation also caused large-scale damage to militant infrastructure. Officials reported that 249 militant posts were destroyed during the operation. Pakistani forces also captured 44 additional posts during ground engagements.
In addition, authorities said around 224 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery guns used by militants were destroyed. Security officials also confirmed that about 70 terrorist and logistical support sites were targeted during the campaign.
According to official statements, key strikes took place during the night of March 12 and 13. These operations targeted locations believed to house militant training camps and support centers.
The areas affected by the strikes included Kabul, Paktia Province, and Kandahar. Authorities said these locations were used by militants to coordinate attacks and store equipment.
Officials emphasized that Ghazb Lil Haq focused strictly on militant infrastructure. They said the operation targeted logistics hubs, command centers, and training facilities used by terrorist networks.
Released footage from the operation reportedly showed the destruction of militant positions. Authorities stated that the strikes were carefully planned to avoid civilian areas and public infrastructure.
Officials also rejected claims made by Afghan authorities and some media outlets that civilian locations were affected. According to Pakistan’s security officials, only militant positions were targeted during Ghazb Lil Haq.
Security analysts say the scale of the operation could significantly weaken the operational capabilities of militant groups in the region. The large number of casualties and destroyed facilities may disrupt their ability to plan future attacks.
The operation represents one of the largest cross-border counterterrorism actions carried out in recent years. Officials say Pakistan remains committed to protecting its borders and preventing terrorist infiltration.
Authorities also warned that further actions may be taken if militant groups continue their activities. Security forces are closely monitoring developments along the border and in nearby regions.
