Senator Kamran Murtaza has called for a written agreement for the emerging opposition alliance. He said political cooperation should be based on clear commitments.
Speaking to the media, Murtaza said politics requires determination and patience. He also delivered a message to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
“Politics is not a seat of flowers,” the senator said. He urged political parties to remain firm during difficult circumstances.
Murtaza also discussed the issue of medical treatment for PTI founder Imran Khan. He questioned objections to treatment at a hospital preferred by Khan or his family.
The senator said the matter should not become a political dispute. He suggested that medical choices should be considered separately from political differences.
Murtaza also commented on a contempt petition filed against the government in the Supreme Court. He said he did not expect contempt to be established.
The Balochistan senator also spoke about political rights. He called for acceptance of the people’s right to govern and own property.

He said opposition parties had agreed to move toward a united opposition. The groups also planned to adopt a joint parliamentary approach.
The meeting with Achakzai formed part of wider consultations among opposition parties. The talks focused on developing a coordinated parliamentary strategy.
