Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain has announced a significant reduction in Hajj package costs, providing relief to prospective pilgrims. Speaking at a news conference, he stated that the 40-day Hajj package has been reduced by Rs25,000, bringing the new total to Rs1,050,000. Meanwhile, the 25-day short Hajj package has seen a bigger reduction of Rs50,000, now costing Rs1,100,000. Pilgrims must deposit their third installment at designated banks between February 6 and 14.
In addition to cost reductions, the minister revealed a major refund initiative of over Rs4.75 billion for those who performed Hajj in 2024. The refunds have been categorized into seven groups, considering accommodation and other logistical factors. Refund amounts range from Rs20,000 to Rs140,000, benefiting thousands of pilgrims.

He further assured that all refund transactions would be processed through designated banks, with transfers set to begin within the next two days. Pilgrims will also receive payment notifications via the ‘Pak Hajj’ mobile application.
These steps aim to make Hajj more affordable while ensuring transparency in financial matters. The government remains committed to facilitating pilgrims with cost-effective and well-organized arrangements.
