The Pakistan Army secured a decisive victory at the 3rd Inter-Services Combat Shooting Championship 2025, winning all four Inter-Services Matches, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Tuesday.
The closing ceremony of the 45th Pakistan Army Rifle Association (PARA) Central Meet 2025 was held at the Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU) in Jhelum. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), attended as the chief guest.
The 45th PARA Central Meet 2025, conducted from October 1 to November 10, saw over 2,000 participants from the Pakistan Army, Air Force, Navy, Civil Armed Forces, and provincial rifle associations including Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, and Federal Rifle Associations. Participants displayed exceptional shooting skills with enthusiasm and dedication.
In addition to the Pakistan Armyโs overall triumph, Punjab Regiment won the Unit Firing Proficiency Match Group-I. Sepoy Muhammad Irfan of Punjab Regiment earned the prestigious title of The Master at Arms, while Naib Subedar Umar Farooq of the Army Marksmanship Unit claimed The Army Hundred Rifle Match Trophy.
During the ceremony, COAS Syed Asim Munir praised participants for their outstanding marksmanship, emphasizing that โmastery in shooting must remain a core objective of military training.โ The COAS also highlighted the importance of discipline, focus, and precision in military exercises.
Following the championship, the COAS attended the centenary celebrations of Military College Jhelum (MCJ) as the Chief Guest. He inaugurated the Centenary Monument and College Museum, commemorating 100 years of excellence and preserving the institutionโs rich history. The COAS lauded MCJ for nurturing leadership, discipline, and patriotism among its graduates, and laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada to honor martyrs.
The Pakistan Armyโs performance in the Championship 2025 showcased their dominance in combat shooting, reinforcing the importance of rigorous training and teamwork. The event reflected the high standard of marksmanship and competitive spirit across all participating military and civil forces.
