In a significant diplomatic engagement, the foreign ministers of Pakistan, China, and Afghanistan convened in Beijing to advance regional cooperation and stability. Representing Pakistan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar joined his counterparts, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Afghanistanโs Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, for the trilateral meeting.
The talks focused on enhancing diplomatic relations, boosting trade, and promoting infrastructure and development cooperation among the three nations. A key highlight of the discussions was the mutual agreement to deepen cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and extend the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) into Afghanistan, signaling a push for broader regional connectivity.

All sides emphasized the importance of working together to combat terrorism and ensure lasting peace in the region. The ministers reaffirmed their joint commitment to fostering stability and supporting development efforts across borders.
It was agreed that the sixth round of the trilateral foreign ministersโ dialogue will be held in Kabul at a mutually convenient time, further reinforcing their intention to maintain ongoing engagement on key issues affecting the region.
