Pakistan, China Discuss Industrial Projects Under CPEC 2.0

Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss the future of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The meeting focused on expanding cooperation and strengthening economic ties.

During the discussion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised Chinaโ€™s continued support for Pakistanโ€™s economy. He reaffirmed Pakistanโ€™s commitment to the next phase of CPEC, known as CPEC 2.0. This phase will focus on agriculture, infrastructure, and Industrial Projects.

Officials said both sides agreed to increase collaboration in Industrial Projects to boost economic growth. These projects are expected to create jobs and improve production capacity across Pakistan.

The meeting also included Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi, and the Foreign Secretary. They reviewed progress on ongoing initiatives and discussed future plans under CPEC.

Prime Minister Shehbaz highlighted the importance of Industrial Projects in transforming Pakistanโ€™s economy. He noted that such initiatives can attract foreign investment and strengthen local industries. He also called for closer coordination at all levels to ensure timely completion of projects.

The Prime Minister congratulated Chinese leaders on the successful conclusion of their recent โ€œTwo Sessions.โ€ He also thanked President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and Foreign Minister Wang Yi for their Pakistan Day messages.

Ambassador Jiang praised Pakistanโ€™s economic resilience and ongoing reforms. He reaffirmed Chinaโ€™s support in trade, investment, and Industrial Projects. Both sides expressed confidence in future cooperation and upcoming high-level exchanges.

The meeting also marked preparations for the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Officials said this milestone will further strengthen bilateral ties.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also discussed regional developments and Pakistanโ€™s role in promoting peace and stability. He emphasized that economic cooperation and Industrial Projects can contribute to long-term regional growth.

In conclusion, both Pakistan and China remain committed to expanding Industrial Projects under CPEC 2.0. The partnership aims to drive economic progress and deepen strategic cooperation between the two nations.
