Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their strong partnership during the seventh round of the PakistanโChina Foreign Ministersโ Strategic Dialogue in Beijing.
The talks were co-chaired by Pakistanโs Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Both sides emphasized the importance of their long-standing friendship for regional peace, stability, and prosperity.
During the Strategic Dialogue, the delegations reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral relations. They discussed cooperation under the ChinaโPakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), trade, multilateral engagement, and people-to-people exchanges.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar highlighted that the Strategic Dialogue provides a structured platform to strengthen coordination at both bilateral and multilateral forums. He said it ensures ongoing collaboration on regional and global issues.
Both sides also agreed to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China with a series of events. In a joint ceremony, Ishaq Dar and Wang Yi unveiled the official logo for the anniversary celebrations in Beijing. These events will take place throughout the year to honor the historic milestone.
The two countries reiterated their commitment to expanding cooperation in trade, investment, education, and cultural exchanges. Both delegations expressed confidence that closer coordination would benefit their citizens and contribute to regional stability.
Officials noted that the Strategic Dialogue strengthens dialogue mechanisms, allowing Pakistan and China to address challenges and explore new opportunities together. The session also reinforced mutual support on international platforms and highlighted shared priorities in global affairs.
The seventh round of the PakistanโChina Strategic Dialogue further confirms the countriesโ intent to deepen their cooperation and maintain a forward-looking partnership. Both sides pledged to continue high-level exchanges and build on achievements in economic, cultural, and strategic sectors.
