Pakistan Condemns Attack On Russian President Putin’s Residence

Pakistan has strongly condemned the reported attack on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described the incident as a serious threat to peace, security, and stability.

In a statement, PM Shehbaz emphasized Pakistan’s solidarity with President Putin, the Russian government, and the people of Russia. He reiterated the country’s firm rejection of all forms of violence and acts that undermine security.

“Pakistan condemns the reported targeting of the residence of His Excellency Vladimir Putin,” PM Shehbaz tweeted. He stressed that such acts are particularly dangerous during ongoing efforts aimed at global peace.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed that Ukraine attempted the attack on President Putin’s residence in northern Russia. The incident took place in the Novgorod region overnight, involving 91 long-range drones. Lavrov stated that all drones were destroyed by Russian air defences, with no injuries or damage reported.

Lavrov also said that Russia had already selected targets for retaliatory strikes. He described the attack as “state terrorism” and warned that such reckless actions would not go unanswered.

The Pakistani government highlighted the importance of restraint and called for measures to protect stability at both regional and global levels. Authorities emphasized that violent actions like this undermine diplomatic efforts and threaten international peace.

Experts note that attacks targeting high-profile leaders escalate tensions between nations and could affect ongoing peace negotiations. Pakistan’s response reflects its stance on rejecting violence and promoting dialogue as a means to resolve conflicts.

The incident has drawn international attention, with various countries monitoring the situation closely. Pakistan’s condemnation underscores its commitment to supporting peace and stability in the region while advocating for measured and responsible responses to such threats.

By condemning the attack, Pakistan aims to reaffirm its position against acts of violence and promote a safer, more secure environment for diplomatic and international relations.
